garden basil aioli

BLT with Basil Aioli


SAUCE ON

blt • crispy potato wedges • grilled lamb kebob


Ingredients

1 egg

1/2 tsp kosher salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1/2 lemon juice and peel

1/2 tbsp dijon

1 whole head roasted garlic

5 basil leaves

1 cup olive oil



Preparation

1.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut the top off a bulb of garlic, douse with olive oil, wrap in foil and roast for 20 minutes



2.

While the garlic is roasting, into a food processor put egg, salt, pepper, lemon juice, lemon peel, dijon mustard and blend for 30 Seconds.

3.

Drizzle olive oil in for 2 minutes until aioli forms. Put in bowl and fold in chopped basil and mashed roasted garlic.
