Maple Bacon Beer Cheese

SAUCE ON
Smoked Pulled Pork • Loaded French Fries • Soft Pretzel Bites
Ingredients

2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 cup Shredded Pepper Jack Cheese
1 12oz Beer (preferably non hoppy)
1 cup Half and Half
5 Garlic Cloves
1/4 cup Maple Syrup
10 Strips of Bacon
1/4 cup Reserved Bacon Fat
1/2 Sweet Onion
4oz Cream Cheese
2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
1 tbsp Onion Powder
1 tbsp Garlic Powder
1 tbsp Corn Starch
1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 tsp Sea Salt
1 tsp Pepper
Preparation
1.
Lay out roughly 10 pieces of bacon on a baking sheet. Brush each piece of bacon with maple syrup. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes. Reserve the bacon fat.

Into a dutch oven or sauce pan, add minced onion, garlic, bacon fat and chopped bacon

Add 1 tbsp of corn starch to shredded cheddar and pepperjack cheese and toss to coat. Add cheese mixture, beer, and half and half to dutch oven. Stir and cook for 5 minutes until cheese sauce is smooth.

Add cream cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir for 5 minutes

Enjoy on nachos!!
